A friend of mine was leaving for Italy to pursue his musical career. His girlfriend is Italian and he wanted something to give to her parents when he got there. We decided on a portrait of his girlfriend and her sister.

I really like how it turned out, I feel like it would also work well for a business portrait.

Two very beautiful ladies!

This painting is a triptych of layered blues and silver reminiscent of spiraling water.

Before the painting dried, I applied layers of dark and light iridescent glitter overtop.
This gives the illusion of sparkling water as the painting is looked at from different angles.

For this painting, I began with the sky above and the ground below.

I painted over the earth with different hues of browns and black to resemble the layers underground.

The sky was a stormy mix of blues and grey which I washed over to resemble a storm raining down and wearing away the layers of the earth.

Over the years, I have painted many dog portraits for family and friends,
here are some of them:

Zelda the Belgian Shepherd

Akila the Husky - R.I.P. buddy
Lexi the Boxer

I started this painting with a washed brown canvas which gave me the feeling of warm, mossy jungle tones.

I continued mixing in greens and browns, eventually creating a line in the middle where the colors stream down like vines hanging from branches. I finished it off with a palette knife textured line of gold and copper across the middle.

It displays well on rich coloured walls, such as dark purple.

This is a large sized canvas painting. The ladies in the background are silver, and the ones in the foreground are white. This piece seems to be one of the favorites of most people who have seen my collection.

This first picture was a personal piece that I made years ago. Since then I have been commissioned to do a few more.

This next one is silver and black across four canvases:

and this one is the same concept but on one smaller canvas:

One of my friends requested a very imaginative painting...

He wanted Iron Maiden's mascot Eddie

Playing a Jackson Warrior guitar

In flames...

With nuke clouds in the background

This was the end result:

It took a looong time to make...
I even made a time-lapse video of it.
The quality of the video isn't the best, but it explains the concept with a little
blurb at the beginning, and it shows the process of painting it.

I was browsing online one day when I saw a picture that caught my attention.
It combined a person's eye with the Brazilian flag.  I found it very vibrant and
inspiring, so I decided to paint a version of it.

The canvas for this piece was very large, as you can see in comparison to my
hands (circled in the photo below)

I gave the painting to my friend Ana who is from Brazil; she loved it! :)

I made this about a year ago when I was inspired by watching Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin
perform on stage (on YouTube that is.) The way the light was hitting him....
he was just begging to be painted in silhouette! :P

I call him 'Jimmy With the Silver Strings' because the guitar strings are
painted in silver. Definitely one of my personal favorites!

For this painting, I used gold and a little bit of silver to recreate the feeling I get when squinting out the window on a rainy day. The whole street seems to sparkle in blurs of metallic hues.. very inspiring.

I made this piece because I wanted something to resemble a window to brighten up my cubicle at work, it seems to do the trick! :)

I went outside and picked up some sticks, then put them on a blue canvas with some hand made felt blossoms.

This painting was inspired by the vibrant colors of a tropical parrot's feathers. The painting was layered on with a palette knife resulting in a textured look up-close.

This painting was inspired by the fiery colors of the sun mixed with the sparkling metallic hues that exist in its radiating light.

I began with a swirling mix of dark reds and light yellows circling out from the center. I then used a sea sponge to  add layers of depth overtop with light gold and strong copper.

Here is a close up of the textured metallic overlay
