This painting was inspired by the fiery colors of the sun mixed with the sparkling metallic hues that exist in its radiating light. I began with a swirling mix of dark reds and light yellows circling out from the center. I then used a sea sponge to  add layers of depth overtop with light gold and strong copper.  Here is a close up of the textured metallic
