I started this painting with a washed brown canvas which gave me the feeling of warm, mossy jungle tones.
I continued mixing in greens and browns, eventually creating a line in the middle where the colors stream down like vines hanging from branches. I finished it off with a palette knife textured line of gold and copper across the middle.
One of my friends requested a very imaginative painting...
He wanted Iron Maiden's mascot Eddie

Playing a Jackson Warrior guitar

In flames...

With nuke clouds in the background

This was the end result:
It took a looong time to make...
I even made a time-lapse video of it.
The quality of the video isn't the best, but it explains the concept with a little
blurb at the beginning, and it shows the process of painting it.
I was browsing online one day when I saw a picture that caught my attention.
It combined a person's eye with the Brazilian flag. I found it very vibrant and

I gave the painting to my friend Ana who is from Brazil; she loved it! :)
I made this about a year ago when I was inspired by watching Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin
perform on stage (on YouTube that is.) The way the light was hitting him....
he was just begging to be painted in silhouette! :P
I call him 'Jimmy With the Silver Strings' because the guitar strings are
painted in silver. Definitely one of my personal favorites!
